Pentland Ferries have a vacancy for a Cook on their passenger vessel, MV Alfred. This is a permanent position based on an even time rota of three weeks on/off. A competitive salary and a workplace pension are available. (Details can be provided to suitable candidates on request).

Applicants must hold a valid ENG1 Medical Certificate and be trained to STCW Basic standard in:

  • Personal Survival Techniques
  • PSSR
  • Elementary First Aid
  • Fire Prevention and Firefighting

A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or higher and a Ships Cook CoC is also required. It would be an advantage to hold the following certificates (but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate):

  • Designated Security Duties
  • Crowd Control
  • Crisis Management
