Pentland Component Parts Ltd is a specialist in vehicle parts distribution and has a vacancy for the position of Assistant Warehouse Manager. The Company is seeking a friendly, outgoing individual, ideally with prior managerial and warehousing experience, to join our team.
As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, your principal duty will be to support, assist, and provide cover for the Warehouse Manager across all areas of the Company's warehousing department.
Responsibilities: Although based at our head office branch in St Clair Street, you may occasionally be required to visit or work at other branches. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Staff supervision
- Dealing with warranties and returns
- Ordering and receiving
- Maintaining pricing
- Administering order points
- Stock control
- Stock takes
- Facilities management
- Providing any other assistance to the Warehouse Manager needed to ensure the smooth running of the branches.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and will:
- Be a team player with the ability to work independently.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be able to lift heavy items without frequent assistance.
- Be dynamic, outgoing and energetic.
- Be organised with great attention to detail.
- Be willing to learn and develop.
