Location: The job is primarily based at our Sighthill branch at Unit 7 Seven Hills Business Park, 49 Bankhead, EH11 4EP
Salary: £27,202 per annum
Contract & Hours: Full time, Permanent, Monday - Friday 08.30am - 17.00pm

Pentland Component Parts Ltd is a specialist in vehicle parts distribution and has a vacancy and career opportunity in the position of Warehouse Assistant. We are recruiting for a friendly and outgoing individual, ideally with previous warehousing experience, to join our team.
As a Warehouse Assistant, your duties will include all aspects of stocking and maintaining our warehouse, along with associated tasks. Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Assisting couriers to bring in parcels from their delivery vehicles.
- Signing for goods received.
- Checking off stock and putting it away neatly on shelves.
- Picking customer orders.
- Maintaining shop display.
- Facing up shelves and moving stock when necessary.
- Periodic stock checking.
- Providing any other assistance needed to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
Please note: Your main branch will be as listed above, but you will be required to fill in at other branches occasionally to cover holidays etc.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and will:
- Be a team player with the ability also to work independently.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be able to lift heavy items without frequent assistance.
- Be dynamic, outgoing and energetic.
- Be organised with great attention to detail.
- Be willing to learn and develop.
