WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?

To manage the day-to-day operations of the store. To achieve the highest levels of customer service, sales and profit. Listen and understand customer requirements to ensure the customer is sold the correct product.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

As our Store Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Set and build the range architecture for the Berghaus brand within the EMEA region balancing the need for Core, Refresh & NPD.
  • Own key merchandising KPI metrics including sales revenue, gross margin, SCO efficiency and product adoption & execution measures.
  • Partner with our commercial team & the product merchandising teams to deliver a line plan for the region that drives SCO efficiency.
  • Deliver the regional Go-To-Market process stage gates & tools alongside the Berghaus regional & global product and brand teams.
  • Embed a data driven approach, delivering playback analysis against expectation and a robust lesson learned process.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
  • Implement company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and positive shopping experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop store employees.
  • Schedule shifts and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Motivate and evaluate employee performance.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Prevent stock shrinkage through loss prevention measures.
  • Ensure proper product display and store presentation.
  • Act as Key holder to the site ensuring security is maintained at all times.

WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?

  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • High numeracy levels with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Previous experience within Merchandising or Product Management functions at Merchandiser level.
  • Sales and financial acumen.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience of working in a sports / outdoor apparel business an advantage.
  • Visual Merchandising experience preferable.
