WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?
Our New Product Development (NPD) function plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative, insight‑led products that meet evolving consumer needs and strengthen our brand portfolio. As the Product Manager – NPD, you will drive the strategic planning, development, and delivery of new product concepts from early ideation through to commercialisation. You will work cross‑functionally to build products that not only excite our consumers but also enhance our competitiveness, commercial performance, and long‑term brand direction.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As our Product Manager – NPD, you will be responsible for:
- Defining and managing the NPD roadmap in line with brand strategy, consumer insights, and market opportunities.
- Evaluating product gaps, emerging trends, and growth opportunities to inform future innovation priorities.
- Leading cross‑functional teams—including Design, Development, Insights, Sourcing, and Marketing—through the full NPD lifecycle.
- Ensuring all teams are aligned on product direction, requirements, timelines, and commercial outcomes.
- Translating insights and strategic intent into clear briefs, product concepts, and consumer value propositions.
- Running consumer validation sessions, prototype reviews, and feasibility assessments to refine product direction.
- Owning the NPD critical path, ensuring milestones are met and issues are resolved quickly and collaboratively.
- Monitoring risks, dependencies, and costs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Building business cases and commercial assessments to support new product recommendations.
- Post‑launch, reviewing product performance, insights, and lessons learned to inform continuous improvement.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
- Proven experience in product management, NPD, or product strategy, ideally within footwear, apparel, or consumer goods.
- Strong understanding of product creation processes, from insight and concepting through to delivery.
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable product decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence presenting to technical and commercial stakeholders.
