The Finance Business Partner – Global Overheads owns financial governance, insight and challenge across global functional costs, partnering functional leaders and regional finance teams to improve visibility, forecasting accuracy and commercial decision making. The role builds a consistent and forward-looking approach to overhead cost management across areas such as occupancy, legal, finance, innovation and other non-people operating expenses.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner functional leaders and regional finance teams on budgets, forecasts and cost performance across global overheads.
  • Provide monthly cost centre reporting, variance analysis and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Support month-end processes with the accounting team to ensure accurate cost recognition and reporting.
  • Work closely with FP&A to produce robust budgets, forecasts and scenario modelling across functional cost areas.
  • Develop visibility of spend drivers, trends, commitments and risks across regions and functions.
  • Support business cases, investment analysis and ad hoc commercial decision support across overhead spend categories.
  • Challenge cost assumptions and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste or reallocate investment.
  • Act as a data detective, investigating anomalies, trends and underlying operational drivers rather than simply reporting variances.
  • Build strong relationships across regional finance teams to improve consistency of reporting, governance and forecasting approaches.

What you’ll bring:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable operating with senior stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
  • Commercially minded, able to balance cost control with supporting business growth and investment.
  • Naturally curious and inquisitive, with the ability to investigate underlying business drivers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to financial control.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning/reporting tools such as SAP, Anaplan, TM1 or Power BI.
