We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fabric Buying Assistant to support our Fabric Buying team in managing fabrics for production. This role involves working closely with suppliers, maintaining fabric records, tracking deliveries. You will play a key part in the supply chain process working cross functionally to meet and exceed client expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of fabric orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding fabric orders, shipments, and discrepancies.
  • Assist in processing purchase orders and invoices related to fabric procurement.
  • Support the team by documenting fabric samples and test reports.
  • Organize and update fabric sample libraries and databases.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams such as production, design, and sales.
  • Handle administrative duties including filing, data entry, and report generation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding fabric management.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in textiles, fashion, or manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) & PLM/ERP Systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of fabric types and textile terminology is a plus.
