We are looking for a Senior Jersey Designer to support the growth of our ladieswear jersey category. You will create trend-led, commercially focused ranges, working closely with design, sales, and production teams to meet client needs and price points.
This role suits someone with fashion supplier experience who understands the high street market and is ready to take the next step, bringing strong jersey knowledge, commercial awareness, and a keen eye for trends.
Main Responsibilities:- Strong jersey handwriting across casual and formal jersey.
- Develop trend-led jersey collections using fabric sources, tailored to each customer’s target market.
- Interpret trends with strong commercial awareness, ensuring designs align with client profiles.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in fabric, colour, and shape, identifying opportunities for development.
- Guide and support junior designers, maintaining a high and consistent standard of work.
- Collaborate closely with sales and cross-functional teams.
- Attend buyer meetings and confidently present design ideas.
- Prepare for customer meetings, briefs, and requests.
- Manage your own workload, deadlines, and multiple customer accounts.
- Oversee both short-lead and long-lead projects.
- 10+ years’ design experience, with a strong focus on jersey.
- Previous experience within a fashion supplier environment.
- Strong understanding of the high street fashion market.
- Highly trend and market aware, with a commercial mindset.
- Advanced skills in Photoshop and Illustrator, with a good working knowledge of Excel.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative with a flexible approach to change.
