Legal Counsel – Malta
Location: Malta (Hybrid)
Contract: 12-month contract (Maternity Cover)
Salary: €40,000–€75,000 + benefits
The Role
An established iGaming business is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its in-house Legal team, supporting global business operations with a focus on commercial contracts, software licensing, online gaming and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including software licences, gaming licences, NDAs and service agreements.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams on contract negotiations.
- Advise on contractual matters, legal risks and general commercial issues.
- Support the Senior Counsel with legal projects and business initiatives.
- Develop legal processes, update contract templates and deliver training to the business.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 2–5 years of experience.
- Strong commercial and corporate law knowledge.
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- iGaming, sports betting or technology experience is advantageous but not essential.
