The role
With a new state-of-the-art infrastructure and recent investment in VBS and technology, we are looking for an individual to support our Shunting Team in Felixstowe. As an HGV Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for the movement of containers to and from the terminal, ensuring compliance with road transport legislation while upholding our strong health and safety culture where safety is the number one priority.
Key responsibilities
- Transport containers in and out of the terminal.
- Drive to a high standard at all times.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Follow safe operating procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service.
About you
- Hold a valid LGV Class 1 Driving licence (category CE).
- Hold a CPC qualification (Driver Qualification Card - DQC).
- Flexible with working hours.
- Previous shunting experience.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Deep understanding of the importance of health and safety and be committed to always upholding a safe approach to all tasks.
