Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support commissioning activities on a major data centre project in Slough. The role will focus heavily on SCADA commissioning, including Point-to-Point (P2P) testing and Point-to-Graphic (P2G) verification. The successful candidate will work closely with commissioning teams, controls engineers, and client representatives to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out SCADA commissioning activities for data centre electrical systems
  • Perform Point-to-Point (P2P) testing between field devices and SCADA systems
  • Complete Point-to-Graphic (P2G) checks to ensure correct mapping, alarms, and visuals
  • Support testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, including:
  • LV/MV systems
  • UPS systems
  • Generators
  • Switchgear
  • Review and mark up drawings, I/O lists, and commissioning documentation
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and controls-related issues
  • Liaise with project managers, commissioning managers, and client teams on-site
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant UK standards, safety regulations, and site procedures
  • Assist with witnessing tests and handover documentation
