This role is 5 days a week in our Beaconsfield office.

Purpose of the Role

As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the commercial function through detailed cost analysis, comprehensive financial reporting, and the close monitoring of project budgets and expenditures. Your insights and analysis will directly support strategic decision-making and help drive profitable project outcomes for our clients. Your remit will include regular reconciliations of project accounts, assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly client cost reports, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures.

In addition, you will be responsible for general commercial administration, such as managing contract documentation, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records within ERP and CRM systems. As your experience develops, you will take on increasing responsibility with the ultimate goal of managing project costs independently, forecasting financial outcomes, identifying and investigating variances, and collaborating with procurement and subcontractor management teams to optimise project profitability. Successful Commercial Analysts may progress to Senior Analyst or Commercial Manager roles, with access to ongoing training, supporting your long-term professional development within the company.

Ideal Background Preferred:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • 1–2 years’ post-graduate experience (consultancy or contractor side)

Alternatively:

  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, or similar analytical discipline
  • 1–2 years’ professional office-based experience
