Mackworth Vehicle Conversions is a leading specialist in vehicle conversion and bespoke automotive solutions. Due to continued growth, we are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Electrical Fitters to join our production team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of specialist vehicle builds, installing and maintaining electrical systems to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, components and systems within specialist vehicle conversions.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and specifications.
- Fit and connect electrical equipment including lighting, power systems, control panels and ancillary equipment.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards and health and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to deliver projects on time.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an electrical fitting, auto-electrical, vehicle conversion or related role.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation, Auto Electrical or Engineering.
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, specialist vehicles or vehicle conversions.
- Knowledge of 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems.
