We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is looking to begin a career within the Service department of our highly successful Sheffield dealership.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to pursue a career as a Vehicle Technician with a view to becoming a competent and fully trained Technician with an NVQ/City & Guilds Qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to service vehicles – carrying out checks and maintaining vehicles according to the manufacturers’ guidelines
  • Repair and replace faulty parts and components
  • Advise about required repairs to the service department and to customers
  • Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain repair and service records on the in‑house computer system for customers
  • Detect and diagnose additional faults for further repairs
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, complying with manufacturers’ and industry guidelines

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for the motor trade and motor vehicles
  • Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Enthusiastic, committed and confident
  • Analytical and methodical thinking
  • Highly motivated and self‑driven
  • Not afraid to ask questions
  • Excellent communicator, able to maintain positive relationships
  • Great team‑player mentality
  • Minimum GCSE grade C / 4 in English and Maths and preferably in a science‑based subject
