Main Purpose of the Role & Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing incoming parts and components in line with company procedures.
- Learn to accurately identify and source parts for a wide range of fleet vehicles using catalogues and digital systems.
- Support the picking, packing, and dispatching of parts orders to internal workshops or external customers.
- Maintain stock levels by assisting with inventory checks, stock rotation, and reordering processes.
- Ensure all parts are handled, stored, and recorded correctly to prevent damage or loss.
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, both in person and over the phone.
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Develop an understanding of industry systems, tools, and best practices through on-the-job training and coursework.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, order processing, and record keeping.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet departmental targets and deadlines while continuously improving skills and knowledge.

- Achieve high accuracy in parts identification and order fulfilment.
- Maintain organised and accurate stock records at all times.
- Meet agreed turnaround times for picking, packing, and dispatching parts.
- Demonstrate consistent improvement in product and systems knowledge.
- Provide a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the reduction of stock discrepancies, loss, or damage.
- Follow all health and safety procedures with zero preventable incidents.
- Complete apprenticeship coursework and assessments on schedule.
- Contribute positively to team productivity and departmental targets.
- Develop effective communication skills with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Show initiative in learning new processes and improving efficiency.
