About The Role:

  • You'll sit at the centre of production administration, stock control, and logistics. You'll work closely with production management and the wider team to keep materials, paperwork, and suppliers aligned with the schedule.
  • Production coordination: help create works order documentation, manage changes to production paperwork, check and complete works orders.
  • Sub-contract and purchasing: raise and manage sub-con and raw material purchase orders, chase suppliers, align delivery timescales with production needs.
  • Stock control: run regular stock takes for raw materials and finished goods, manage inventory allocations.
  • Supplier management: communicate with suppliers on call-off orders, prepare courier and customs documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Logistics leadership: coordinate the day-to-day logistics and distribution function, covering where needed during peak times or absence.
  • Continuous improvement: flag issues early, contribute to daily and weekly team meetings, help develop and follow lean, documented processes.

What we need from you:

  • Experience in a production administration, stock control, or materials management role - ideally in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; you'll be managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confident with IT systems - MRP/ERP, stock management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • A clear communicator who can work well with production, sales, and external suppliers.
  • Experience with sub-contract purchasing or supplier management is a strong advantage.
  • A team player with a continuous improvement mindset who takes ownership and gets things done.
