Penta is seeking an experienced Dell Systems/Infrastructure Engineer to join the team onsite in the UK Data Centre to support with installing and maintaining Dell Firewall and Storage Servers.

The Engineer should have experience in server installation, with the following servers:

  • SMPP Firewall Servers
    • CPU - Intel Xeon Gold 6248R (24 cores, 3.0GHz)
    • RAM - 128GB DDR4 ECC
    • Storage - 2x 960GB SSD RAID-1 (OS), 2x 1.92TB SSD RAID-1 (Data)
    • Network - Management: 1Gbps Ethernet (Dedicated), Service: 10Gbps Ethernet (SMPP Protocol Traffic), iLO/IPMI: 1Gbps Ethernet (Out-of-band management)
    • OS - Debian 12 (OS)
  • Storage Servers
    • CPU - Intel Xeon Silver 4214R (12 cores, 2.4GHz)
    • RAM - 128GB DDR4 ECC
    • Storage - OS: 2x 480GB SSD RAID-1, Data: 12x 14TB HDD RAID-6 (140TB usable), Cache: 2x 1.92TB NVMe SSD, Hardware RAID with BBU cache
    • Network - Management: 1Gbps Ethernet, Service: 10Gbps Ethernet Bonded (CDR, Logs, DLR DB), iLO/IPMI: 1Gbps Ethernet
    • Purpose - CDR storage, log aggregation, DLR database, NFS/iSCSI/SFTP
