Penspen are currently recruiting for a Ltd contract Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer.
This is a high level position and a minimum of 10 years experience; 8 of them within the field of Mechanical Engineering in major oil and gas projects is essential.
Candidates should have a strong background in rotating equipment design.
Requirements
Work experience in major accident hazard industries in an oil and gas environment.
Strong communication skills, and ability to work with diverse teams and cultures.
Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Rotating Equipment including gas turbines, diesel engines & gas compressors.
Must have a working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and API, such as API-STD-610 and 617
Must have experience with creating/modifying PFDs, and P&IDs.
Experience with troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, such as air compressors, pumps and Diesel generators.
Experience in creating schematics and piping diagrams.
Experience conducting failure analysis and providing recommendations for failed rotating equipment.
Experience with rotating equipment and piping field Installation, Commissioning and testing.
