Job Description:

High Pressure Gas Technician – Derby

Penspen (www.penspen.com) is looking for a High Pressure Gas Technician for our Asset Management team based in Derby.

Applicants need the right to live and work in the UK.

Please apply if you are a Qualified HP Technician (experienced with regulator/govorner) or hold Gas Safe – CMA1, CCN1, CMET1, CMET2, TCPC1.

* Overnight stays may be required during work execution.

Technical Excellence

• Complete maintenance on LP/IP/HP gas process equipment, including commissioning, overhauls, and functional checks.
• Perform duties independently in remote or hazardous locations.
• Operate and maintain mobile plant, lifting equipment, tools, and ensure safety compliance, possessing necessary licenses.
• Support updates to Penspen\’s technical policies and procedures.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with client/landowner interactions (desirable).
• Problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and mobility.
• Teamwork and ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail and data recording skills.
• Reliability, responsibility, safety-consciousness.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent.
• Qualified HP Technician with regulator or governor experience.
• Gas Safe registration preferred but not mandatory if experience is adequate.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Good IT skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Location: Bristol or Derby
Salary: Circa £35,000 – £36,500 per annum
