Penspen are looking for a Senior Instrument Engineer. The primary location is Woking, Surrey, United Kingdom; you may be required to travel and work in Al Khafji, KSA.

The Senior Instrument Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. They may have engineer-grade instrument personnel under their responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. The Senior Instrument Engineer may work under the supervision of a Lead Instrument Engineer in which case their responsibilities will be as delegated.

The Senior Instrument Engineer may be in charge of any or all of the following tasks.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

  • At least 12 years of experience; 6 years of them within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
  • PMC experience at a similar role for at least several years is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.
  • Experience both in Instrumentation & Telecommunication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
