Job Overview
Summary/Objective
The Receptionist serves as a front-line representative for the dealership. Answers multi-line phone system. Is responsible for greeting customers as they enter the showroom, answers basic inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate party. Ensures a customer-friendly environment and an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Functions
- Answers multi-line phone system in accordance with company policies, using the company approved greeting in a friendly and professional manner.
- Responds quickly and accurately to incoming telephone calls by routing calls, providing assistance, and furnishing general information to internal and external callers.
- Offers to take messages or send caller to voicemail according to caller preference and company policy when the person the caller is trying to reach is not available.
- Greets and directs visitors, including but not limited to customers and vendors, to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that the visitor has arrived.
- Obtains and records demographic information about each customer, using dealership sales control system.
- Hands out brochures and other information to visitors to the dealership.
- Answers basic customer inquiries and refers more complex inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Greets customers in the service department during morning rush hour and obtains basic customer information.
- Serves as clerical and administrative back-up.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Will primarily work in a retail automotive sales showroom. Will work with a computer, telephone and other office equipment as appropriate. May be asked to drive cars on occasion.
Light Work- lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
This position will require the employee to alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
This position requires the ability to push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp.
