We are looking for an organised, forward thinking and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to support our communications activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, working across digital platforms, and helping to promote the organisation's work to a wide range of audiences.

You will be confident working across both modern digital media and traditional design.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining forward thinking about the channels we use to communicate, the messages we send and a hands‑on detailed approach to delivery.

Help raise our profile, engage key audiences through developing and choosing the right channel and media.

You will often have access to senior leaders in the organisation representing new ideas and delivery new ways for campaigns and messages to be distributed.

We work closely with our customers (members) and have an extensive online panel who can help guide our direction.

Reporting on communications performance and web insights is a key element.

You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. Plus, strong proofreading and attention to detail.

Good organisational and time management skills are needed at key times of the year.

What You’ll Do

  • Create engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters and other communication channels.
  • Support the planning and delivery of communications and communication campaigns.
  • Update and maintain website content using a content management system (CMS).
  • Help draft content whether press releases, news stories, statutory communications and internal communications.
  • Maintain communications calendars and support the coordination of events, statutory documents and campaigns.
  • Collect and report on communications performance using analytics and other reporting tools.
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, accessible and consistent with brand guidelines.
