About the Role

Pensionhelp, a Chartered Financial Planning firm specialising in complex pension advice, is seeking an experienced Pension Transfer Specialist to join our advisory team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, compliant advice on defined benefit (DB) pension transfers, personal pension transfers, and wider retirement planning.

You will work with clients who require clear, expert guidance on their retirement options, often involving significant technical analysis. This is a role for a highly skilled adviser who understands the regulatory expectations around transfer advice and who is comfortable working proactively in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on DB and personal pension transfers, ensuring full compliance with FCA rules
• Conduct detailed analysis and broader suitability modelling
• Deliver holistic retirement planning advice to clients alongside transfer recommendations
• Review and present suitability reports, maintaining robust documentation and audit trails
• Work collaboratively with paraplanners, case managers, and compliance teams
• Build strong, long-term client relationships and provide ongoing review support

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Pension Transfer Specialist
• Strong technical knowledge of DB schemes, CETVs, retirement income solutions, and transfer risk considerations
• Excellent communication skills for delivering complex advice clearly
• Ability to analyse detailed financial information and produce high-quality recommendations
• Minimum Level 4 qualification in financial advice
• e.g., CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS), LIBF DipFA, or equivalent
• MANDATORY specialist pension transfer qualification, such as:
• CII AF7 – Pension Transfers
• LIBF Pension Transfer (PETR)
• Equivalent FCA-approved pension transfer qualification
• Comfortable working independently in a remote role
• Strong commitment to compliance, accuracy, and professional standards
