Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Junior Portfolio Manager /Portfolio Manager to join our Liquids team. This role exists to ensure that cash portfolios are managed with precision, balancing operational liquidity needs with prudent investment of surplus cash in line with the Fund’s risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
The team currently manages around ~£6bn AUM in fixed income assets across the suite of cash/cash+, SSDC, global IG portfolios, predominantly managed in-house.
You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of short-term cash instruments, including internal Money market and Cash+ portfolios. The role includes contributing to funding and settlement processes and assisting in implementing tactical cash strategies aligning to PPF’s investment framework. The role also provides exposure to broader treasury and investment operations and offers a strong foundation for growth within the organisation. Over time there is potential involvement in internally managed Short Duration portfolios and External IG credit mandates.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a seasoned investment professional with an expert grasp of global fixed income and money markets with a successful track record on a cash management / dealing desk. You’ll be well versed in short term securities like Repo, Euro Commercial Paper, Bonds, Certificates of Deposit and Asset Backed Commercial Papers, and data tools such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb and Aladdin. An understanding of Money Market fund regulations is preferable, as is the possession of a strong market network of dealers / brokers. Experience with Aladdin portfolio management system is preferable but not a necessity.
