We’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we’re ready to help. We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people’s lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind. We are seeking a highly organised, collaborative, and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to join the CEO Office. This is a pivotal role supporting both the CEO and Chief of Staff (CoS), ensuring their time is used effectively and aligned with strategic priorities. You’ll be at the heart of the organisation, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly. You will be the entry point to the CEO Office and will role model the welcoming, can-do, high calibre environment you will become a part of. In this role, you will take full ownership of diary management for the CEO and CoS, coordinating with the CEO Office, Stakeholder, and Communications teams to implement prioritisation, scheduling and briefing processes. You’ll stay closely aligned to organisational priorities and key relationships, helping to evaluate and manage how time is spent across the CEO Office. Inbox management is another key aspect of the role. You’ll support the triage of the CEO Office inbox, draft responses, route items appropriately, and maintain accurate records and filing systems. Discretion is essential, as you’ll be handling highly sensitive information. The role will coordinate complex UK and international travel, including visas, logistics, and hospitality, and ensure that CEO Office-hosted engagements and visits are delivered to a high standard. On the operational side, you’ll process expenses, track spend, manage subscriptions, and maintain the CEO Office SharePoint structure. To be successful in this role, you’ll need previous experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a Chief Executive or C-suite level leader in a fast-paced environment, with well-honed prioritisation skills and the ability to maintain delivery of long-term priorities in the face of day-to-day tasks. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, and just as important is bringing the belief that building strong, collaborative working relationships gets the best results. You will be confident using the full Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level proficiency in Outlook, and strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. If you’re ready to make a real impact at the highest level of the organisation, we’d love to hear from you. Sound like you? Apply now. In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career. We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training. Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, the highest accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview. We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working. Whatever your background, and however you identify, you’ll be welcome here. No agencies please
