At the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), we provide security in retirement for our members and millions of people throughout the UK who belong to defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. Through the PPF and Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), we compensate members for their pensions after the employer funding their pension becomes insolvent. In total, we look after over 400,000 members across the PPF and FAS. With over £30 billion in assets under management, our investments support long-term economic growth across the UK.

Our award-winning team of around 450 professionals has earned the IPE UK Pension Fund of the Year title three times in seven years. We work closely with government and industry partners to improve outcomes for scheme members, employers, and the broader pension system—playing a vital role in strengthening retirement security nationwide.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Transfer Administrator to join our Member Services team. Our Transfer Team is responsible for onboarding eligible pension schemes into the PPF, managing the transfer of scheme and member data and resolving complex data challenges. The team plays a key role in safeguarding members' benefits by ensuring records are accurate, complete and compliant, while delivering an excellent service throughout the transition process.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that incoming transferring scheme data and member tracing data is accurately analysed, validated, and processed, enabling successful transfer and tracing outcomes. With a strong focus on putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, you’ll help ensure that the right payments are made to the right members at the right time.

You’ll take responsibility for managing data quality and associated risks across the transfer lifecycle, ensuring that all member data is secure, reconciled, and fit for purpose. Acting as a key link between internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure that data received is clean, complete, and ready for efficient processing, helping to minimise delays and improve overall service delivery.

Alongside managing the incoming scheme transfer pipeline, you’ll use your technical and systems knowledge to resolve complex and non-standard issues, support bespoke projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Member Services. This is a great opportunity to build on your experience in a role where your analytical skills and attention to detail will directly impact member outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have experience of validating and analysing high volumes of data, ideally within a defined benefit pensions administration or scheme implementation environment. You’ll be confident in managing complex data issues and explaining technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career. We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.

Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader and actively encourage applications from people with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know. We are happy to discuss your needs and ensure you have the support required.

We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working. Whatever your background, and however you identify, you’ll be welcome here.
