Actuarial Internship (2025 to 2026) Croydon office location with Hybrid working £25,625 per annum Contract Type: 13-Month Internship Position type: Full Time We’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we’re ready to help. We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people’s lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind. The PPF is delighted to announce that we are now accepting applications for our 2025 Actuarial Internship programme. This is a 13-month programme, starting at the beginning of July 2025 and finishing at the end of July 2026. It is open to current students who would like to complete a placement year after the second year of their degree course. Please note that this programme is only available to current undergraduates. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong academic record and demonstrable communication and influencing abilities to work within a high-profile financial services organisation. We expect interested applicants to have numerical aptitude, ideally with a high A Level grade in Mathematics (or equivalent) and be studying towards an Actuarial-related undergraduate degree on track for a 2.1 classification or above. A good competency of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel) would be of added interest. You will be a valued member of the team, working to clear deadlines on work that makes tangible differences to our organisation. You will have access to a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation and be given responsibility for a variety of work including running internal models and valuation programmes; as well as the opportunity to sense-check the results and suggest implementing improvements to models and processes.
