Role Overview
As the PR Manager, you will lead the PPF’s press office and oversee our pension media relations, including proactive outreach, crisis communication planning, and the management of external PR partners. Beyond media, you will champion our presence at industry events—securing speaking opportunities, supporting executives, and building strong relationships with trade journalists and event organisers. Your work will amplify the PPF’s influence and credibility across the sector, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry conversations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the press office and manage media relations, including proactive outreach and crisis communication planning.
- Coordinate communication across multiple channels and manage external PR partners.
- Secure speaking opportunities for PPF executives at industry events and support them at external events.
- Build and nurture relationships with trade journalists and event organisers.
- Amplify PPF’s influence and credibility across the sector to maintain industry relevance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a communications team within a corporate environment.
- Strong background in press office management and media engagement.
- Proven experience in planning communications and coordinating activity across multiple channels.
- Experience organising speaking programmes for industry audiences and supporting senior leaders at external events.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management and influencing.
- Confidence in fostering and managing relationships with external stakeholders.

Location
Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is about 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.
