We are seeking an experienced Investment Data Manager to lead a high-performing team of DataOps Analysts and play a pivotal role in shaping how investment data is processed, governed, prioritised, and delivered across the business. In this role, you will sit at the centre of our data governance framework and own the end-to-end coordination of the Investment Data Working Group (IDWG) on behalf of the Head of Data Governance. You'll bring structure, clarity, and focus to key data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and driving meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of DataOps Analysts.
  • Act as a key operational link between Investments, Finance, and the Data Office, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation across investment data management practices.
  • Support Data Owners and Stewards in managing, defining, and maintaining high-quality data as part of BAU.
  • Partner with IT and external providers to deliver and manage scalable investment data products.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of Investment data products led by the Data Office.
  • Strengthen and enhance data quality frameworks to maintain trust in data used across Investments and Finance.
  • Maintain robust IDWG governance, including documentation, wiki management, meeting outputs, and action tracking to completion.

Requirements:

  • Strong track record of leading Data Analyst teams in Financial Services, with deep expertise in securities and asset data.
  • Strong industry expertise across market, pricing, custodial, and positional data, including how it is used within Investments and Finance business functions.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income instruments, swaps, derivatives, and their associated data structures.
  • Solid grounding in data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Experience with investment platforms (e.g. Aladdin, Murex).
  • Familiarity with investment data management platforms such as Lusid, Markit EDM, Golden Source.
  • Working knowledge of data governance and lineage tools (e.g. Solidatus, IDQ, Collibra).
  • High proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Cognos, and data quality tooling.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across business and technology teams.
  • Strong analytical capability, able to interpret large data sets, understand end-to-end processes, and identify root causes of data issues (including reviewing underlying code).
  • Highly effective at report writing, documentation, and presentations, tailoring outputs to suit different audiences.
