Truro and Penwith Academy Trust together with Pensans School are seeking a dynamic and committed Class Teacher to cover leadership time in the ARB (specialist provision – Communication & Interaction) and mainstream Y5/Y6 class.
This role requires proven experience teaching pupils with complex SEN needs and preparing pupils for key stage assessments, with a focus on improving learning and personal outcomes in both specialist and mainstream settings.
About You
- An experienced SEN teacher with a passion for supporting pupils to access their full potential in a specialist provision within a mainstream school.
- Experience teaching Y5/Y6 pupils in mainstream provision and preparing for end of key stage assessments.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with a wide range of colleagues, manage a team of teaching assistants, and deliver high quality lessons planned by the class teachers.
- Prepared to take leadership in a subject area.
- Use a range of assessment formats, including Evidence for Learning, Insight, and the National Curriculum, to track pupils’ progress.
