Abeka Editor/Writer (Preschool/Kindergarten)
An Educator Editor/Writer 1 utilizes their classroom experience to facilitate the completion of projects through research, editing and writing, collaboration, and product finalization. The Editor is responsible for communicating with project partners and meeting all project deadlines.
*This is an on-campus position; this is not a remote position.
Research Product Content
Using sound discretion based on biblical principles and traditional educational practices, thoroughly research all aspects of product development under the direction of the Subject Lead Editor. Use research to help complete a production overview by the stated deadline.
Edit and Write Content
Under the direction of the Subject Lead Editor, carefully edit existing content and write new content based on approved production overview. Provide clear design and illustration expectations. Submit content for production, following scheduled deadlines.
Collaborate with Partners
Communicate frequently, clearly, and tactfully with fellow editors, product managers, managing editors, and production colleagues. Ensure that all deadlines and project information is thoroughly communicated and understood.
Ensure Project Completion
Follow job bags through the production process in the fewest rounds possible, ensuring that a quality product is completed under the direction of the Subject Lead Editor. Follow the production schedule and meet all deadlines.
