Penrice Academy is seeking a caring, organised and proactive First Aid Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with first aid knowledge and a compassionate approach, who can provide reassurance and practical support to students when they are unwell, injured or require medical attention. You will assess and respond to first aid needs, manage medical emergencies appropriately and work closely with parents, carers, staff and external agencies to ensure students receive the right care and support.
You will take responsibility for maintaining accurate medical records, administering medication in line with school procedures, developing and reviewing Individual Healthcare Plans, and ensuring medical information is communicated effectively to relevant colleagues. You will also help coordinate medical appointments, vaccinations and health checks, support staff with first aid guidance and training, and ensure first aid provision across the academy remains effective and well organised.
We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic and self-motivated, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, use their initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team. A strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and the wellbeing of children and young people is essential.
If you are passionate about making a positive difference to young people's lives and have the skills to provide caring, professional first aid support, we would love to hear from you.
