This is an exciting position for an experienced food Production Manager to join an established, successful and expanding company based in Bristol. Alongside managing production you will lead a team, work closely with the senior management team, be very actively involved in new product development and will be actively encouraged to introduce and implement new systems, procedures and process to improve production. You will need your own transport. Benefits: Straight day time shifts only – usually 8am-4pm with some weekends 15% performance related bonus Free parking Employee discounts Company pension You need to have food production experience, ideally in ice-cream/gelato, to apply for this position with a background working for large corporate or smaller independant companies, and you might be an assistant production manager looking to step up. As the Production Manager you will: Lead, recruit and train a team of production chefs to achieve the highest standards of production. Meet the supply demands of the business. Manage the distribution of product to the companys stores and clients. Carry out quality checks. Manage stock, plan and forecast the ordering of ingredients. Meet all legal and company legislation and compliance requirements. Manage all administration and analyse sales data. Follow all receipes and processes and ensure high standards and quality levels. Manage rotas, costs, budgets, margins, wastage and labour. Work closely with the senior management team Attributes – Production Manager Experience as a Production Manager gained in a fresh food producing environment. Strong financial acumen – managing margins, labour, costs and budgets. The ability to recruit, train, develop, lead and movitate people and teams. An intrinsic understanding of all relevant legislation and compliance. Good administration skills with a keen eye for detail. A proactive and logical approach. Strong relationship building skills. Passion for what you do and a strong desire to succeed. An outgoing and engaging personality with a positive outlook. Excellent people, communication and people management skills.
