A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Pastry Chef to head up the pastry department in a successful and established customer facing day time operation, serving all freshly made cakes, desserts, pastries, biscuits and tray bakes.

As the Head Pastry Chef you will manage every aspect of the pastry kitchen in a hands-on capacity producing patisserie, cakes, biscuits, desserts and tray bakes to company specifications, as well as having the opportunity to create your own recipes.
Role:As Head Pastry Chef you will:
- Lead the daily operation of the pastry kitchen, being hands on.
- Create bakery and pastry products within the company framework.
- Plan and manage the pastry operation.
- Monitor stock levels and manage stock orders.
- Carry out weekly stock count to ensure GP targets are achieved.
- Manage the cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
- Manage and develop the small team.
We are looking for:
- Successful and experienced Head Pastry Chef/Pastry Chef.
- Passion for making desserts, pastries, patisserie and baked products.
- Knowledgeable in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
- The ability to manage, train and develop a small team.
- Commercially aware to achieve sales and profit targets.
- The ability to write and cost recipes using fresh ingredients.
- Passion for delivering the highest quality food and service.
