We need an experienced assistant catering/cafe/restaurant manager looking for a challenge to support the catering manager in overseeing two sites that have huge potential. Further sites are in the pipeline.

Working alongside and deputising for the catering manager, you will oversee the operational performance of both sites supporting with cost, stock & budget control and working together to drive sales and implement new ideas. A massive bonus is that you will work straight day time shifts only - no evenings ever. You will need your own transport. Both sites are close to Gloucester.

As the Assistant Catering Manager you will:

  • Manage day to day operations across two individual sites
  • Work with the catering manager to improve all aspects of the sites
  • Assist in controlling labour, stock and all costs & budgets
  • Train and develop your team
  • Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front
  • Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Work to company targets and KPIs

Attributes:

  • Experience as an assistant catering/restaurant/cafe/coffee shop manager in commercial customer facing operations
  • Excellent people, communication and people management skills
  • A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
  • A solid understanding of legislation & compliance
  • The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
  • A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
  • IT literate - working with systems & process
