Location: Redhill (preferred), with flexibility for Exeter or Bristol
Salary: £35,000 per annum
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Water Demand Analyst to support the development, delivery, and monitoring of our Water Demand Strategy across multiple regions including South West Water, Bristol Water, Bournemouth Water, SES, and the Isles of Scilly. This role plays a key part in helping the organisation meet regulatory requirements set out in the Environment Act, including reductions in leakage and household and non-household demand. You will work across short-, medium-, and long-term planning horizons, contributing to strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing review of the Water Demand Strategy.
- Analyse, monitor, and forecast water demand across different time horizons (in-year, AMP, and long-term planning up to 50 years).
- Produce insights from water usage data, identifying trends and opportunities to optimise demand management strategies.
- Collaborate with data and modelling teams to scope, extract, analyse, and interpret data.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance data systems and databases for efficient storage and analysis of demand-related information.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting and annual strategy reviews, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key link between the demand team and operational teams, particularly within the SES region.
- Support water efficiency programmes and broader demand reduction initiatives.
- Participate in research, innovation, and continuous improvement activities within water demand management.

- Degree in a scientific, environmental, or numerate discipline (essential)
- Experience
- Experience producing reports, presentations, and technical documentation
- Experience within the water industry or a similar regulated environment (desirable)
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights clearly
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
