12 month fixed‑term contract, salary £26,337. Hours: 37 per week, with 1 in 5 week standby rota after training.
Responsibilities
- Carry out on‑site monitoring of treated wastewater and associated plant to ensure effective site operation and compliance.
- Respond to site conditions and instrument monitoring information to maintain compliance and protect the environment.
- Store and handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS procedures and health and safety standards.
- Perform first‑line maintenance on instruments and mechanical equipment.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Use iSCADA control system, PCs and other software and hardware to carry out duties.
- Carry out grounds maintenance.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback on activities completed.
- Adhere to schedules, business rules and procedures.
- Liaise with Area Manager, Catchment Pilot and Technical Assistants to optimise schedules.
- Liaise with Catchment Operators to carry out required duties.
- Liaise with Area Manager, Energy Maintenance and other team members to optimise site operation and asset maintenance.
- Deal effectively with customer queries when approached and pass information up the line when appropriate.
- Perform regular sampling and testing of internal and external tanker deliveries and critical site control points.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
