12 month fixed‑term contract, salary £26,337. Hours: 37 per week, with 1 in 5 week standby rota after training.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out on‑site monitoring of treated wastewater and associated plant to ensure effective site operation and compliance.
  • Respond to site conditions and instrument monitoring information to maintain compliance and protect the environment.
  • Store and handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Perform first‑line maintenance on instruments and mechanical equipment.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Use iSCADA control system, PCs and other software and hardware to carry out duties.
  • Carry out grounds maintenance.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback on activities completed.
  • Adhere to schedules, business rules and procedures.
  • Liaise with Area Manager, Catchment Pilot and Technical Assistants to optimise schedules.
  • Liaise with Catchment Operators to carry out required duties.
  • Liaise with Area Manager, Energy Maintenance and other team members to optimise site operation and asset maintenance.
  • Deal effectively with customer queries when approached and pass information up the line when appropriate.
  • Perform regular sampling and testing of internal and external tanker deliveries and critical site control points.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
