Operational Technology (OT) Engineer – South West Water

Responsibilities
- Hands‑on OT engineering: design, install, configure and maintain OT systems including PLCs, SCADA, industrial communications and instrumentation that power essential water and wastewater operations.
- Ensure resilient and secure OT infrastructure, keeping systems compliant, secure and built to last for community services.
- Collaborate with operational teams, IT and third‑party contractors to deliver projects from capital investment to day‑to‑day operational support.
- Continuously improve systems: diagnose issues, optimise control strategies and streamline performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience with OT systems including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, telemetry and industrial communications networks.
- Operational support experience with fault diagnosis and system recovery in live environments.
- Strong attention to detail, a passion for safety and commitment to regulatory compliance, including cyber security, health and safety standards.
