We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and safety‑focused Strategic Asset Technician to join our team in Bournemouth on a full time, permanent basis. You’ll play a key role in maintaining our assets, supporting operational activities, and ensuring we continue to deliver high‑quality drinking water and excellent customer service. This is a varied, hands‑on role that involves planned and reactive work, problem‑solving, and occasional participation in standby and call‑out rotas. Experience in water supply or a related technical environment is helpful, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills – full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Follow all Health and Safety regulations; if you don’t currently hold this certificate, we will support you to gain it.
  • Ability to deliver work to regulatory deadlines, including reporting requirements.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to daily tasks, with the ability to respond quickly to incidents.
  • Ability to maintain buildings and structures.
  • A background in delivering high‑quality internal and external customer service.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems and related digital tools.
  • Experience in utilities, pipeline construction or street works.
  • Due to the nature of standby and call‑out duties, you must be able to reach the operational area within approximately 45 minutes.
