As a Network Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role maintaining the infrastructure that keeps water flowing across the region. This is a varied field-based role where you’ll work across operational sites and network assets, supporting both planned maintenance and urgent operational response.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out maintenance on network assets including service reservoirs, pressure reducing valves, and air valves.
- Supporting the operation of the water distribution network to keep supplies running reliably.
- Completing site inspections, maintenance, and repairs across operational facilities.
- Assisting with planned and reactive work to minimise supply interruptions for customers.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Supporting reservoir cleaning and confined space activities where required.
- Providing professional customer service when working in public or operational environments.
- Joining the standby and call-out rota once fully trained.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in a water, utilities, or operational maintenance environment.
- Practical maintenance skills across buildings, equipment, or operational assets.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role and as part of a wider team.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Good organisation and ability to work to deadlines.
- A customer-focused approach.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Full UK driving licence (B+E desirable).
- EUSR Water Hygiene certificate desirable.
