As an R2R Accountant, you’ll ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial reporting. You’ll be pivotal in reviewing the company’s financial position, maintaining robust documentation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your technical expertise will support both monthly operations and strategic financial decision-making.
Key Deliverables- Complete monthly, half-yearly, and annual close processes for the Pennon Group.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with transactional entries and reconciliations.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting and analysis information.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the R2R function.
- Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and regulations.
- Extensive accounting experience, including transactional accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to extract and document complex financial information.
- Sound knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent financial qualification.
- Desirable: Strong Microsoft Office and IT skills.
