You’ll manage incidents, problems, changes and releases, taking ownership and working closely with internal teams and third‑party suppliers to meet service level expectations. The role is varied, combining technical troubleshooting with planning, systems improvement, and collaboration with operational stakeholders. You’ll also support routine upgrades, oversee the implementation of new SCADA functionality and technologies, and participate in an out‑of‑hours standby rota to support 24/7 service availability.

Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and implement OT security policies, procedures, technologies and standards.
  • Acquisition & Deployment
    • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver OT services and solutions.
    • Research emerging OT products, services, standards and protocols to support critical services.
    • Undertake software releases, patching and rollouts in line with change, security and release management best practice.
  • Operational Management
    • Provide timely second‑line support for escalated incidents, including onsite diagnosis and resolution of complex issues.
    • Collaborate with network, application, database and security teams in response to incidents, problems and changes.
    • Plan and deliver SCADA and OT client/server upgrades, patches and maintenance fixes.
    • Standardise SCADA configuration and deployment.
    • Monitor system performance, producing reports and operational statistics.
    • Recommend and implement system improvements to enhance security, reliability, efficiency and performance.
    • Administer SCADA services using appropriate system administration tools.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user training materials.
    • Ensure compliance with information security policies and governance requirements.
    • Attend relevant training, seminars, conferences and trade shows to maintain expertise.
    • Participate in a standby rota to support OT services 24x7.
