Responsibilities
- Carry out Retrofit Assessments in line with PAS 2035:23 requirements
- Collecting data on building fabric, services, occupancy, ventilation, etc.
- Conducting RdSAP assessments and preparing data for Improvement Option Evaluations
- Collaborating with Retrofit Coordinators and Designers to ensure smooth progress
- Identifying potential risks, including ventilation, damp, and structural concerns
- Ensuring all work is documented clearly and submitted to a high internal standard
- Coordination of multiple concurrent retrofit projects of multiple measures, managing the design, installation, handover, and monitoring of the projects
- Providing accurate and effective energy modelling using software such as RdSAP and full SAP
- Ensuring that all retrofit works comply with PAS 2035 standards, local building regulations, and sustainability goals
- Managing the PAS 2035 lodgement process on TrustMark to allow timely draw down of funding
- Liaising with Retrofit Assessors, Surveyors, Installers, and customers or building occupiers as necessary
- Responding to communications from customers
- Visiting sites to review projects and advise installers as required
- Liaising with colleagues to resolve issues and identify improvements
Qualifications
- Qualified Retrofit Assessor with a TrustMark approved training provider
- Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)
- Qualified in Level 3: Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings
- Working knowledge of PAS 2035:23 and whole-house retrofit principles
- Experience surveying a range of domestic property types
- Familiarity with RdSAP software and data collection and ability to comply with RdSAP10 requirements
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail and quality
- Strong communication skills, especially with residents and clients
- Experience with ECO or SHDF-funded projects
- PAS 2035 and Building Regulations: Have an up-to-date understanding of these standards is essential for ensuring quality and compliance
- Building Physics: Technical knowledge of how heat, moisture, and ventilation interact within a building, especially older properties
- Energy efficiency measures: Expertise is required in a range of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and products, such as insulation, glazing, and heating systems
- Energy assessment and modelling: Competence in energy modeling software, such as RdSAP and full SAP, is necessary for creating medium-term retrofit plans and evaluating measures
- Quality assurance: Must have a strong focus on quality management principles to ensure installations meet required standards
