Refrigeration Apprentice (Apprenticeship) Following recent success of large-scale projects being awarded and increased service opportunities across the UK within multiple sectors since a management restructure within Pennine Refrigeration Services, an exciting opportunity has risen within the service team. We are looking for a refrigeration apprentice to join our growing dynamic service team based from our northern office. If you have a passion for excellence in engineering and want to be a part of an innovative and growing company, this is the perfect role for you! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Refrigeration Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the refrigeration industry while attending college to earn a relevant qualification. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to learn the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in refrigeration engineering. Key Responsibilities: * Hands-On Training: * Assist senior engineers with installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems. * Learn to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in refrigeration equipment. * Gain practical experience in performing routine maintenance and inspections. * College Attendance: * Enrol and attend all required classes at an accredited college to study refrigeration technology & practical assessment * Complete all assignments, projects, and exams to progress through the apprenticeship program * Safety and Compliance: * Follow safety protocols and regulations during all work activities. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations. * Professional Development: * Participate on-the-job training and workshops to enhance technical skills. * Guidance from mentors and supervisors to improve performance. Qualifications: * Education: * High school: Require GCSE’s (4-9 grades), or equivalent. * Experience: * Prior experience within the refrigeration sector, HVAC, or electrical / mechanical engineering would be an advantage * Currently enrolled within a electrical or mechanical course that is looking to consider a Refrigeration apprenticeship * Must have a clean driving licence with a minimum driving experience of 2 years * Skills: * Strong interest in learning about engineering, refrigeration applications and technology. * Basic understanding of mechanical principles and electrical systems. * Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team. * Good communication skills. * Basic proficiency in using tools and equipment * Positive attitude to learning Benefits: Competitive apprenticeship wage with opportunities for salary increases upon successful completion of milestones.
