Pennine Recruitment (acting as a Recruitment Business) are delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our client in Sheffield. The role will be temporary ongoing on a full time basis. Starting salary of £18 per hour and working from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility to work weekends and shifts.
The role will involve maintaining, installing and repairing production machinery and lines. Mechanical qualification and experience required as well as some basic electrical knowledge.
Essential Skills and qualifications:- Mechanical - HNC, Btec etc
- Proven experience of maintenance engineering within an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Current FLT Licence
- Understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read drawings
- Aware of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
- Basic Welding and Fabrication skills
- Responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure maximum uptime and safety
- Upkeep of the maintenance plan, policies and procedures
- Conducting frequent quality checks on plant equipment to ensure maintenance is kept to a minimum
- Undertaking reactive maintenance when equipment breaks down
- Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance
- Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
- Inform management of any safety concerns or defective equipment
- Ensure that the tools and equipment comply with all relevant regulations and is readily available for use
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping
