Pennine Recruitment (Acting as a Recruitment Agency) are delighted to be recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for a long-standing client in Castleford. We are looking for candidates with previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience or candidates with a strong Warehousing background looking to take the next step in their career!

Job Summary: To lead and coordinate a dedicated warehouse distribution team. You will lead by example alongside other Team Leaders and a Warehouse Management team to ensure that your team (and wider teams within the warehouse) are all pulling in the right direction. This role is fast-paced. You will be working with fast-moving goods for a variety of customers and as such you should be extremely motivated to move stock swiftly but accurately!

Responsibilities:

  • The planning and coordination of your team - labour and equipment resource in line with operational requirements.
  • Ensure the operations team maintain integrity of stock inventory accuracy and proactively manage stock movements within the operation.
  • Identify and resolve any stock inventory discrepancies and ensure WMS inventory and SAP system records are in alignment.
  • Ensure that Inbound or Outbound are despatched / Checked correctly and meet customer SLA's.
  • Investigate missing stock and Notify stock control when stock cannot be located.
  • Previous experience of warehouse operations (goods receiving, pick, pack & despatch).
  • Strong IT systems knowledge including Microsoft Office, WMS & SAP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data and provide meaningful information.
  • Ensure that safety is paramount at all times to all colleagues and visitors entering the warehouse.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English is required) with the ability to form, develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Familiarisation with SAP, WMS and key transactions.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to multi-task, prioritise and manage own workload whilst turning challenges into opportunities.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 11am to 8pm.
