We are looking for a strong, business‑minded Chartered Accountant to join our very busy team in the heart of Farnborough.
This role is full‑time and permanent.
Although this position is advertised as a full‑time vacancy, we are happy and flexible to consider anyone who needs to accommodate child care and navigate around school hours.
We are also very understanding of any doctor appointments, optician appointments etc as well.
The following training and proficiencies/experience is required
- Fully or part ACCA qualified – Fundamentals and Professionals
- Proficiency in Xero bookkeeping software and Tax Calc accountancy software and a working knowledge of Quick Books (bookkeeping software)
- Ideally 3 years’ practice experience
As well as having at least 3 years’ experience in Chartered Accountancy, the ideal candidate will hold a strong level of business acumen, be self‑driven and aspire to create a success of the business.
You will be required to
- Assist with creating new business targets for gaining new clients
- Create and manage marketing plans
- Deputise when director is away
- Build excellent client relationships
- Create and categorise A, B and C client lists
- Work with the team to create checklists to find opportunities for cross‑selling or up‑selling
- Understand and present data showing the root causes for high or low profitability
- Run and develop the team, ensuring maximum effectiveness of staff
- Produce monthly / annual statistics on
- Profit vs budget
- Enquiries to new business conversion
- Average time to convert new clients
- Attend and show productivity over quarterly performance reviews with the Director
- Attend weekly meetings
We require you to have 3+ years of practical business development level experience, and to be:
- Disciplined, trustworthy and loyal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word
- Able to communicate effectively with all clients
- A good manager of team members
- A strong leader to help run and develop each staff member
- Self‑driven
- Easy going and flexible
- Good at problem‑solving
