Full-Time | Rota – 9 shifts in 28 days | Permanent | Rota inclusive of Weekends

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our out of hours emergency team, providing high‐quality nursing care when animals need it most.

The Role

You will work as part of our dedicated emergency service covering out of hours shifts on a rota basis, working alongside our OOH veterinary surgeons to deliver excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Triaging and assessing emergency patients on arrival
  • Monitoring and nursing critical inpatients
  • Assisting with emergency procedures and surgery
  • Administering medications and treatments as directed
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Communicating sensitively with clients in stressful situations
  • Ensuring equipment and theatres are prepared and sterile

About You

  • Current RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse (essential)
  • Experience in a clinical veterinary nursing role
  • Calm, focused, and effective under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine team player
  • Available and willing to work unsociable hours
