Human Resources Coordinator – Veterinary Practice

About the Role
In this pivotal role, you\'ll help keep our people operations running smoothly. Supporting a fast-paced, multi-site clinical environment, you\'ll collaborate with the leadership team and external advisors to provide seamless support across the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to compliance and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate job adverts, interviews, reference checks, and induction schedules. Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding process for new joiners.
- HR Systems & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records and track compliance such as right-to-work documentation, DBS checks, and training completions.
- Payroll Support Collate monthly payroll data including starters, leavers, and contractual changes. Assist with holiday accruals, statutory entitlements, and resolve payroll queries.
- Employee Lifecycle Administration Manage administrative processes for changes in employment status, probation reviews, and offboarding tasks.
- Training & Policy Coordination Support CPD tracking and maintain up-to-date HR policies, procedures, and templates. Monitor version control and distribution.
- Team & General Support Act as the go-to contact for routine HR queries, offering general administrative support to the HR Manager and wider team.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in an HR coordination or administration role
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and HR systems
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or studying towards).
Desirable:
- Experience in a veterinary, healthcare, or clinical setting
- Familiarity with UK employment legislation
- Experience using HRIS such as BreatheHR or PeopleHR
