Job Description: Principal Engineer – Computing and IT (Network)

Job Title: Principal Engineer – Computing and IT (Network)

Location: Coventry. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available Salary: Up to £61,500 per annum depending on skills and experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop design solutions to meet agreed time, cost, and quality requirements in line with project or business milestones.
  • Manage requirements and overall acceptance criteria specific to systems and products across platforms or programmes.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests and assist in developing test procedures.
  • Produce documentation to support the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, calculations, and design evidence.
  • Ensure comprehensive design proving evidence is captured within requirements management tools and endorsed by the appropriate authority.
  • Conduct design reviews and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members as needed at the Principal level.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • STEM degree such as BEng (Hons) / MEng or relevant IT Computing experience.
  • Proven technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience with the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Proven track record in network infrastructure systems design.
